Costume and Dress-Up Guide: Fit, Contents and Safety

Costume listings can combine age ranges, child heights, letter sizes, masks, hats, headbands, belts, ribbons, or other accessories. Use this guide to confirm the exact variation, garment measurements, package contents, materials, and safety limits before ordering.

Ready-Made Is Not Personalized

Choosing a fixed costume design, color, age range, height, or size is not personalization. A product is custom only when the page provides a clear field for a name, message, artwork, or body measurement that is submitted with the order. Current products in this collection are ready-made.

Measure the Wearer

Age labels and S-2XL sizes are only starting points. Compare chest, waist, garment length, height, and other supplied measurements with the intended wearer and allow room for movement and clothing underneath. Supplier notes may describe Asian sizing and manual measurement differences.

Confirm Package Contents

Check whether the variation includes one garment, a dress and headband, a dress and hat, a jumpsuit and hat, or a multi-piece suit with mask, ribbon, and belt. Props and accessories shown in styled photos should not be assumed included unless the product page lists them.

Children’s Costume Safety

Children should use costumes with adult supervision. Keep long hems, capes, ribbons, hats, headbands, masks, and loose accessories away from stairs, doors, playground equipment, moving machinery, candles, heaters, and other flames. Remove costumes before sleep.

Vision, Breathing and Movement

Masks and headpieces must not block vision, hearing, breathing, or balance. Check that the wearer can walk, sit, use stairs, and remove the costume quickly. Costumes are decorative clothing and do not provide impact, weather, respiratory, or other protection.

Fabric and Flammability

Polyester, mesh, chemical-fiber blends, lace, and attached decorations should be kept away from open flames and heat unless verified flammability compliance is provided. Stop use if seams, fasteners, wires, buttons, or attached parts become loose or sharp.

Oral Props and Skin Adhesives

Fake teeth and other mouth-contact props require confirmed material, age, cleaning, fit, and oral-contact documentation. Adhesive facial hair requires disclosed adhesive ingredients and skin-use instructions. Do not use these products when those safety details are missing.
